Penyanyi fenomenal Mbah Surip meninggal dunia, Selasa (4/8/2009) pukul 10.30 WIB. Penyanyi ‘Tak Gendong’ itu sempat dilarikan ke RS Pusdikkes, Jakarta Timur.
“Iya benar tadi meninggal pukul 10.30 WIB,” kata Mega, petugas pendaftaran RS Pusdikkes saat dikonfirmasi detikcom. Mbah Surip memiliki nama asli Urip Ariyanto. Menurut KTP, dia lahir pada 1963. Mbah Surip mendulang uang miliaran rupiah dari ring back tone (RBT) ‘Tak Gendong’.
